The expression on this “Frenchie’s” face is almost too cool for words! It almost looks like he’s suddenly found himself sitting in the middle of this pin dish, and he doesn’t quite know what to do about it! This is a very heavy, substantial piece, which looks to be two pieces, the dog and the bowl, screwed together. It is marked “Peerage REGD Made in England” on the underside of the bowl. This would make a standout piece on a desk or atop a man’s dresser. Great condition for its age. The oxidation, “patina” on the inside of his ears, and between his front and hind legs, can easily be polished away, but we think it looks better as is.
