This sterling silver Borzoi dog head brooch was handmade by Vincent Simone, a world famous and popular silver designer.

The dog’s head was individually cast in solid sterling silver by Simone, himself. Now, in his eighties, he continues that tradition of making each piece of jewelry and other accessories himself. He has no employees. Each of his wonderful pieces are becoming increasingly harder to find and highly collectible.

The detailing is exquisite, with an abundance of fur lines, a buckle collar, and a two tone red and black eye.

At 1 3/4″ tall x 2 1/4″ long, it is the perfect size to be worn as either a decorative pin or as a brooch to hold a garment together or a scarf in place.

It is marked “sterling” and with Vincent Simone’s makers mark, which is a stylized “V.S.” inside of a rectangle.

it is in excellent condition, with very mild scratching on the back.

If you are a Borzoi or Russian Wolfhound owner, this pin is a wonderful way to show off your favorite breed. If all dogs “speak” to you, this one would look gorgeous on a hand knit sweater or on a “houndstooth” jacket!
