Terrier Dog Antique Pink Satin Glass Power Jar c.1920’s – 1930’s
This antique pink satin glass covered dish has a standing Terrier dog as it’s finial.
Can we “Fetch” a classic Terrier
or perhaps another new friend for your consideration?
This antique pink satin glass covered dish has a standing Terrier dog as it’s finial.
It was created by the L.E.Smith Glass Company, founded in 1907, in Jeannette, PA.
This particular piece, considered the small size, was made in both pink and green frosted glass versions, the pink being the most popular version, since it was often filled with ladies’ powder, and then sold.
It can be found (in the frosted green) on page 15 of “Bedroom & Bathroom Glassware of the Depression Years” by Margaret & Ken Whitmyer.
This charming, covered dish is 4 3/4″ tall x 6″ in diameter. It is in excellent condition, even though our camera was unable to create perfectly clear pictures due to the frosted nature of the glass.
The detailing is exquisite, which includes a rippled-styled feature on both the lid and the base.
This is a wonderful addition to any Depression Glass collection. It would also make a unique and charming gift to a lady for her vanity, or to fill with items useful for a child’s nursery.
Don’t forget our free shipping within the USA. All of our items arrive gift-wrapped in our distinctive “houndstooth” paper!
