This print of two Scottish Terrier dogs was originally produced by Morgan Dennis of Boston, MA (1896-1960), and then used in 1935 as an advertisement for The Black and White Scotch Whiskey Company.

Shortly after, the word “LISTEN” was added to the print. The pair of Scotties were already tilting their heads in the original art, so it worked well to make them appear as though they were actually tilting their heads to listen to the sound of a smoothly running auto engine that used Texaco oil. That is how they became the popular face of Texaco Oil as well.

Measuring 13″ tall x 16″ long, this print is in excellent condition. It is framed under glass, in its original wood frame.

The frame is in great condition, with some mild scratching along the right side, that does not detract from the vintage beauty of this art.
It is perfect alone, but it would also be wonderful combined with other Scotties as part of a canine art wall gallery.
