This outstanding figurine of a Dachshund puppy, is most definitely one of the very best models of this captivating breed. Designed by Prof. Theodor Karner, in 1933, for Rosenthal, it is done in rich chocolate brown and mocha tones. It’s magnificent detailing includes deep, soulful eyes and very realistic ears, and paws (see picture #6). Please note that there are some bright white spots showing up on this figurine. They are due to reflection and lighting anomalies caused by the photo process. This adorable Dachshund puppy is flawless. She sits 5 3/4″ tall x 6″ long x 4 1/2″ wide. “T.Karner” and the #1247 are incised on the bottom of the base along with the Rosenthal stamp.
