Metzler and Ortloff
This charming, seated, Springer Spaniel figurine was made in Ilmenau, Thuringen, Germany by the Metzler & Ortloff Company between 1910 through the 1940’s, and she is in excellent condition.
She has a wonderful, gentle look about her, created by the combination of her soft coloring, and the profusion of swirling fur lines covering her ears, chest, legs and tail.
Her expression is pensive, as though she is carefully observing something happening outside through a window.
She is 3″ tall x 2 3/4″ long x 1 1/4″ wide.
This perfect dog would be a wonderful addition to a Metzler & Ortloff canine collection in that she is one of the more difficult ones to find. Add her to other black and white Metzler & Ortloff dogs, and you will have a stunning display with which to decorate almost any room in your home.
