This lovely Royal Copenhagen Pekingese dog captures this breed’s dignified self-confidence, as well as her charming playfulness. She was designed by Peter Herold for Royal Copenhagen in 1897, and she was retired in the 1950’s. She is done in a creamy white with soft brown accents. She is in mint condition and sits 5″ tall x 4 3/4″ long x 2 1/2″ wide. She is marked on her underside “Royal Copenhagen Denmark”, with her model #1772 handwritten. She also has Peter Herold’s impressed signature along the lower portion of her rear hind leg.
She is an absolutely gorgeous dog, and a wonderful collectible figurine, especially for Pekingese dog enthusiasts. She also makes an elegant decorative addition on a side table, a vanity, or even on a fireplace mantel.
We are so happy this Pekingese found a new home. Would you like to find a vintage or antique dog collectible and bring home your own new friend? Just check out our shop to see our currently available antique and vintage dog collectibles.
