Original Vintage Etching Scottish Terriers M. Plukebaum (1876-1945) ART-J400
This original etching of a pair of Scottish Terriers couldn’t be sweeter. It is entitled “Two Rowdies” and you can tell by the expressions on these two Scottie pups that they certainly deserve that distinction.

Measuring 11 1/2″ tall x 14 1/2″ long, this Scottish Terrier portrait is pencil-signed by the artist and children’s book illustrator, Meta Plukebaum. She was born in Dortmund, Germany in 1876, and is best remembered for her fine etchings of cats, but she created a fantastic collection of dogs, as well.
This charming depiction of these two Scottish Terrier puppies is double-matted and framed under glass. The etching and matting are in excellent condition. The frame is worn, with a number of small chips in the paint. However, if you like a vintage look, the frame works quite well with the age of this etching.
Scottish Terrier enthusiasts know how playful, sweet, but independent these dogs can be. This portrait of a pair of Scottie “best friends”, illustrates all the best parts of their wonderful personalities.
