This wonderful portrait of a black and white Springer Spaniel, was most likely of the artist’s own dog.

His gentle and happy expression, combined with the soft detailing of his fur, shows the image of a much-loved canine friend.

His name, “Highbirch Trotter”, suggests a notable ancestry. His poise and stance, suggests the same.

Measuring 19 1/2″ tall x 16 1/2″ wide, it is framed under glass in what appears to be its original wood frame.

It is in excellent condition, and signed by the artist, Pamela Atkinson. You do not have to be a Springer owner/enthusiast to appreciate the beauty of this portrait. However, if you are, this is an extraordinary portrait to add to your Springer Spaniel collection.
