This wonderful English Setter dog was designed and produced by Mortens Studio.
Can we “Fetch” a classic English Setter
or perhaps another new friend for your consideration?
This wonderful English Setter dog was designed and produced by Mortens Studio.
Standing at 3 1/2″ tall x 6″ long x 2 1/2″ wide, she has fabulous detailing, and elegant cream and tan coloring , looking most like the “orange belton” coloring of this breed.
The designer of this figurine, Oscar Morten, immigrated from Sweden to the U.S. and opened a giftware studio in Chicago in 1931. Over the next 32 years, he created over 300 popular dog and horse models. Composed of ceramic over a metal skeleton, these figurines, although beautiful and engaging, were prone to crazing and flaking, thus making it difficult, today, to find examples in perfect condition.
This dog is in mint condition. Any other specks on the photos are merely spots of light caused by the camera.
If you collect Mortens Studio canines, then this is an opportunity to add a terrific example of this particular breed to your collection. Please take a moment to look at our other Morten’s Studio dogs. They do make a wonderful collection.
Don’t forget our free shipping within the USA. All of our items arrive gift-wrapped in our distinctive “houndstooth” paper!
