This elegant, hand-painted, porcelain figurine of a pair of Sporting Dogs was made in Czechoslovakia by Royal Dux.

Royal Dux has been making fine porcelain for over 150 years. They began making this wonderful piece in 1947. It is quite large, standing 7″ tall x 14″ long x 6 1/2″ wide, including the oval plinth that the dogs are standing on.

Both dogs are in a classic hunting pose. The Pointer dog has his foot raised, and his tail extended, and the Retriever dog has his nose to the ground, as he typically would.

They are in mint condition and fully marked with the circular Royal Dux Bohemia stamp, the incised numbers “304” and “952”, and an intact gold foil triangle firmly affixed to the top of the base.

This wonderful porcelain figurine would make the perfect focal piece on a fireplace mantel, or prominently displaced in a family room, library, or in an office.

It would certainly make an amazing gift for any hunting dog enthusiast.
