This fabulous Pekingese is a dramatic example of Kay Finch’s artistic talent and creative whimsy. As one of her larger pieces, it is done in an enchantingly romantic mix of soft pink, dusty rose, black and cream. There are numerous hand painted touches from her nose to her highly detailed toes. Just look at those eyelashes!
Measuring a full 12 3/4″ long x 5 1/2″ tall x 6 1/4″ wide, she is in excellent condition. She is artist-signed on her underside. She is model #154, and she appears in the Schiffer book for collectors, entitled Kay Finch Ceramics: Her Enchanted World by Mike Nickel and Cindy Horvath. She is a wonderful example of vintage California pottery from the late 1930’s to the early 1940’s.
