This wonderful, Hagenauer Terrier dog stands atop a metal matchbox holder. The figurine, made in Austria c. 1930’s, measures 1 3/4″ tall x 2 3/8″ long x 1 1/4″ wide. The metal matchbox holder measures 2 1/4″ long x 1 1/4″ tall x 1 1/2″ wide.

This whimsical pup, is quite heavy for its size, and it has that soft, geometric style that was popular during the Art Deco era. The Hagenauer figurine is in excellent, vintage condition, and the matchbox cover shows age appropriate wear and tarnish, but it is still in great working condition.
