This elegant, antique Essex Crystal depicts a Pointer Dog. The detailing is extraordinary, creating a very realistic portrait, from the very natural looking fur lines to his very animated gaze.

The painting inside the Essex crystal is all intact and is in excellent condition. The “mother-of-pearI” background to the portrait, is also in excellent condition.

It is set in a 14K gold, oval pin, with a sleek, collar mounting rim. The pin stick, the hinge and the clasp are all in excellent working condition. The clasp, which is a locking clasp, is marked 14kt. The entire brooch measures 1 3/8″ long x 1″ tall, and is approximately 3/8″ deep through the very center.

This wonderful brooch has everything going for it: a perfect size for wearing alone or to secure a scarf, its outstanding condition, and a portrait of a very handsome Sporting dog who seems so real, you will want to reach out and touch him.
