This engaging, porcelain dog was sculpted and signed by Guiseppe Cappe for the Capodimonte factory in Italy c. 1950’s – 1980’s. She looks like she could be a Weimaraner with her large paws and drooping ears. She is in excellent condition sitting at 4 3/4″ tall x 3 1/4″ long x 3″ wide. Her shy, flirty, expression fits well with the butterfly perched above one ear, almost as though it was meant to be a stylish adornment. Dog figurines from the Capodimonte factories are always uniquely animated and such fun to collect! More than just a figurine to be cherished, they each seem to have their own very special story to tell.
