Can we “Fetch” a classic Pekingese
or perhaps another new friend for your consideration?
It’s no surprise that this elegant Pekingese dog was bred to be the cherished companion of the imperial family of China. This porcelain figurine was made in Austria and stands 4 1/2″ tall x 5 1/4″ long x 2 1/2″ wide. The colors range from a dusty taupe/grey, to a soft tan, to a creamy vanilla, with touches of black on the nose, eyes and face. She has such a dignified pose with her lavish tail, curled gracefully over her back. She is in wonderful condition with a high gloss finish. She also has, what at first glance seems to be a chip on her front left paw. However, upon close inspection, it is not a chip, but rather just the way the paw was painted. The cream-colored “spot” is completely under the glaze. You can see it clearly in picture #4. This Pekingese pup has one of the most beautiful faces, and the most elegant fur lines that we have seen on a porcelain figurine of this breed. If you are an owner and lover of this gorgeous breed, this is a figurine that you will want to add to your collection.
