This engaging pair of Wire Haired Fox Terriers are exquisite examples of Cold Painted Vienna Bronze. Their naturalistic finish was created by painting the raw bronze with several layers of special “secretive” enamel colors, called “dust paints”. Because the color was applied after the item was cast, rather than “fired” into the piece, the process is referred to as “cold painted”. These two canine friends/siblings are solid bronze with their original paint, which shows characteristic wear due to the paint process and their age. We are not sure that they have been together all these years, but it would appear so, and we would like to keep it that way. They are so irresistible to look at that we are sure you will catch yourself “petting” their heads quite often!
