This antique painted metal figurine of a dog relaxing near a tree is also a matchstick holder.

This is a very old piece. It has a removable metal insert inside the tree trunk. There are spots of missing paint, a crack along the side of the dog’s leg, and a area where the metal along the bottom side of the tree trunk is missing.

Nonetheless, this wonderful antique dog matchstick holder is very collectible and well worth “rescuing.”

This gentle-looking retriever appears so relaxed and ready for you to do just that!
