Can we “Fetch” a classic Pug
or perhaps another new friend for your consideration?
Exquisite in every way, this charming trio of porcelain Pug dogs playing was manufactured by the Meissen Royal Porcelain Manufactory (Meissen, Saxony, Germany). It carries the blue crossed swords mark which was used between 1860 and 1924. This trio of porcelain Pugs was also created and then hand-painted with white Pugs wearing decorative collars with bells. This one, done to more closely resemble the actual colors of the dogs, is harder-to-find. It was created by August Ringler in 1863, as model F186. It is a quality piece, crafted of the fine, hand-painted, German porcelain that this factory is well known for producing. It is in excellent condition, and measures 3 1/2″ tall x 5″ across. As a Meissen collector, this wonderfully animated study of canine exuberance is certainly a piece you will want to add to your collection. If you are a Pug enthusiast, this is certainly a gem to own and to cherish.
We are so happy this Pug found a new home. Would you like to find a vintage or antique dog collectible and bring home your own new friend? Just check out our shop to see our currently available antique and vintage dog collectibles.
