This porcelain St. Bernard dog created by Gebruder Heubach, the well-known dollmakers of Thuringia Germany, looks every bit the “gentle giant”. The lifelike detailing shows everything from the furrow in his brow to the pads on the undersides of his paws! Reclining at 3″ tall x 7 1/4″ long x 2 1/2″ wide, he is done in a snowy white with soft tan marking , a soft grey nose, and a beautiful, high-gloss finish. He is in excellent condition, and he is an exquisite example of the Heubach figurines of the early 20th century with the green Heubach factory mark stamped on his underside. This elegant St. Bernard dog figurine is truly a rare and unique find, and an extraordinary addition to any canine porcelain collection. If you are an owner or breeder of this wonderful dog, this figurine is a “must-have.”
