This beautiful, heavyweight letter opener is topped with a highly detailed Whippet with bright ruby chip eyes. It is not marked, but the design with the dog perched on a finial strongly resembles pieces done in England (Peerage) in the early-mid 1900’s. This is an extraordinary piece that would certainly add style and grace to any desk. Excellent condition.
