This little gem can elegantly grace your table as a toothpick holder or salt cellar, or serve a different purpose on a vanity, as a ring or cufflink holder or tiny vase! Made by the Belmont Glass Company of Bellaire, Ohio around 1885, it depicts a sweet Pug dog with his nose resting along the edge of a gentleman’s overturned top hat. The base is also elegantly decorated in a cut glass sunburst pattern and a raised dotted edge. It measures 3 1/2″ tall x 3 1/2″ long x 2 1/4″ wide. It is in excellent condition, and it has a nice heavyweight feel. This is a wonderful, whimsical piece to add to a glass collection, or put to use in many interesting ways!
