Can we “Fetch” a classic Skye Terrier
or perhaps another new friend for your consideration?
This exquisite, Anri, hand-carved wood humidor is a Skye Terrier dog.
This wonderful pup is standing behind an egg-shaped, polished wood box. You can open the egg by pressing gently on this adorable dog’s tail. The egg is spring-loaded, so when you release the dog’s tail, the egg snaps tightly closed. PLEASE NOTE: For the purpose of taking pictures of the egg open, we used a USB stick to hold it open. That device is not being sold with this piece.
Originally designed to be used as a small humidor, this fabulous piece can be put to all sorts of uses. It measures 6 1/2″ tall x 6 1/4″ long x 3 1/2″ wide, and it is in excellent condition.
The Anri Company was founded by Josef Anton Riffeser in 1912. He named the company by combining the first two letters of his middle and last name. This company remains a family-run company today, and it has has a continued reputation for exceptional craftsmanship, as well as high quality and creativity. The Skye Terrier dog has been a hallmark design of Anri, and one of its’ most popular and sought-after pieces. This enchanting Anri carved wood humidor appeared in their 1926 catalogue.
