This wonderful, matched pair of solid cast iron, Art Deco dog andirons, were made during the 1920’s through the mid 1930’s by The Tennessee Chrome Plate Co. of Nashville, TN.
Their classic, Art Deco, chiseled look is quite stunning. Strikingly stylized with sharp, geometric contours and a deep architectural chest tuck, these solid iron sight-hounds serve as monumental functional sculptures for the sophisticated hearth.
Measuring 14″ tall x 7″ wide and 12 1/2″ deep, they are in great condition, with minimal signs of use on their paws and on the cast iron log supports. The log supports are easy to attach, as well as being sturdy, and quite capable of doing their job.
They are quite a find for any canine enthusiast, and an exquisite addition to any Art Deco or Mid-Century Modern decor.
