This cold-painted bronze Doberman Pinscher dog is the centerpiece of this vintage pen holder.
Although he looks as though he is still a bit of a puppy, his confident and fearless personality is beginning to show.

Doberman Pinschers were originally bred in 1890, in Germany, by Karl Friedrich Louis Doberman, who was a tax collector by trade.

This wonderful dog stands on a gorgeous black and gold marble base that is 5″ long x 2 1/4″ wide. The entire piece is 4″ tall, and it is in excellent condition.

This style of desk accessory was very popular during the 1940’s through the 1960’s.

This loyal and highly intelligent dog, who became the “official war dog” of WWII, is still a majestic and much admired breed today.
This fabulous pen holder would make a wonderful addition to any Doberman collection, and a the perfect gift for any Doberman enthusiast.
