This original etching of a pair of Scottish Terriers couldn’t be sweeter. It is entitled “Sandy and Jock” and you can tell by the expressions on these two Scottie pups that they are all “played out”, and looking expectantly for “what’s next”.

Measuring 22 1/2″ tall x 26 1/2″ long, this large Scottish Terrier portrait is pencil-signed by the artist and children’s book illustrator, Meta Plukebaum. She was born in Dortmund, Germany in 1876, and is best remembered for her fine etchings of cats, but she created a fantastic collection of dogs, as well.

This charming depiction of these two Scottish Terrier puppies is double-matted and framed under glass. The etching and matting are in excellent condition, as is the beautiful wood frame. Please note that any “cloudiness” you may see, is simply a reflection of the camera’s flash on the glass of this portrait.

Scottish Terrier enthusiasts know how playful, sweet, but independent these dogs can be. This portrait of a pair of Scottie “best friends”, illustrates all the best parts of their wonderful personalities.
