This vintage German porcelain figurine, depicts two hunting dogs; one Pointer and one Setter.
This vintage German porcelain figurine, depicts two hunting dogs; one Pointer and one Setter.
They were modeled by the German artist, Carl Scheidig. They were done during his early period, which extends from 1906 to 1935. Despite their age, they are in excellent condition.
They are elegantly poised “mid-hunt”, and they stand 3 1/2″ tall x 6″ long x 2″ wide.
They are beautifully colored and done in a high gloss finish. If you love sporting dogs, this gorgeous dog figurine has both a vintage provenance, and a more modern appeal.
Add it to your canine collection, or use it as the perfect accent on a bookshelf or a desk. Also, this pair would make the perfect gift for any sportsman who loves the “thrill of the hunt!”
