This sleek dish has a wonderful mid-century modern appeal. Made by Upsala Ekeby, (1886- 1984)in the early 1960’s, it sports a sweet Scottish Terrier dog who looks ready to pounce.

This sleek dish has a wonderful mid-century modern appeal. Made by Upsala Ekeby, (1886- 1984)in the early 1960’s, it sports a sweet Scottish Terrier dog who looks ready to pounce. The Scottie measures 2 1/2″ tall x 3 3/4″ long x 1 1/4″ wide. He is done with a gorgeous color swirl of green, black and a greenish gold. He stands off to one side of a round, lemon yellow dish that is 6 1/2″ in diameter. The entire piece is in excellent condition. It is clearly marked “EKEBY” on the underside.
There are so many creative uses for this dish from a place to place trinkets, to a pipe dish. It has a very distinctive style and wonderful Scandinavian simplicity.
