This wonderful, hand painted, antique Pug tobacco jar has a beautiful, creamy, high gloss collar with a light, lavender bow. The bow matches the lavender wash on the inside of both the head and body of this rather fierce- looking lady.Â She is 7 3/4″ tall x 8″ long x 5 1/2″ wide. She is in excellent condition, There is a line on her face that starts under her left eye and curls up to her furrowed brow, which appears to have been made during the manufacturing process. This antique pug tobacco jar is also special in that she has a space between her front legs and her body, which is not unusually seen in most similar pieces. If you are a Pug dog enthusiast, this antique dog can be put to good use to hold any number of things, as well as tobacco. It is also a fabulous, decorative piece, without it even being opened at all.
