Given the age of this extraordinary dog, the Italian artist, Guido Cacciapuoti, most likely fashioned him after a Scottish Terrier. However, for those of us who love Maltese as well, you can easily see how this dog could be very well be a Maltese in both appearance and personality! The detailing on this porcelain is amazing, from the animated look in his eyes, to the wild “movement” of his fur. At 4″ tall x 4″ long x 2 1/4″ wide, it is in great condition, with some wear in spots on its original paint.

If you are a Cacciapuoti collector, don’t miss out on this one. It would make a great gift to any dog lover or collector, but we have to forewarn you that, if it is intended as a gift, once you see it, this incredibly engaging little pup will be very difficult to give it away!
