This sterling silver Westminster Dog Show trophy was custom made for the Great Dane Club of America, and issued between 1875 and 1891. It stands 8″ tall and has a diameter at the top opening of 3″. It is in excellent condition. It has a circular foot and a two-handled vase with flat handles and a chased, Greek leaf pattern at the top edge. It is marked: Tiffany & Co. 18892 B1 Makers 4873 Sterling Silver 925-1000, along with the Tiffany hallmark. It has a circular insignia for the “The Great Dane Club of America, Inc.” on the front with the raised head of a Great Dane dog at it’s center. It is not inscribed, which makes it all the more collectible. It is a magnificent, tribute to an amazing canine breed, and it would certainly be a highly-prized collectible for any dog enthusiast.
