This unique bar-shaped posy pin is truly a treasure. Made of sterling silver, and marked “STERLING”, it sports a highly-detailed, standing, Scottish Terrier dog. What makes it truly special are the eight circles (four at the top and four on the bottom) that are in place to hold tiny cut flowers. Although most posy pins were made to look like small vases, to hold flowers brought by courting gentlemen callers, this one can hold four separate stems. It is 2″ long x 1/2″ tall, and it is in great condition with a bit of age-related wear, and with a pin that easily opens up and closes securely. This whimsical pin is very romantic and the perfect “sweetheart” gift for any canine enthusiast.
