Created from slag glass in caramel, chocolate and cream…this Imperial Glass Scottie Dog looks good enough to eat! It is in mint condition with its original paper label. This beauty stands 3 1/2″ tall x 4 1/2″ long x 1 3/4″ wide. While each piece of slag glass is always different, this Scottie dog has a particularly bright composition, with lots of swirls, and a beautifully balanced distribution of colors. The bottom has been ground, but not polished, which add to the interest of this wonderful work of art. It can be found in the “Collector’s Guide to Heisey by Imperial Glass Animals” on page 67. It was only made for one year, 1969-1970, during which only 150 were made. If you are a Scottie-lover, this is a uniquely wonderful piece to add to your collection. If you collect Imperial Slag Glass Animals…now is certainly the time to snatch this little fellow up!
