This exquisite English Setter dog figurine was designed by Frederick Daws and created by Harry Nixon, who was the head of the Royal Doulton painting department beginning in 1900.
The “HN” stamped on the bottom of this dog’s paw, along with the model #1051, is a reference to Harry Nixon.
This beautiful representation of an English Setter was modelled after Champion Maesydd Mustard.
He stands a full 3 3/4″ tall x 5 3/4″ long x 1 1/2″ wide and he is in mint condition.
The detailing on this English Setter is absolutely gorgeous with two shades of gray and a touch of black against a bright white coat.
His three-tone eyes gives him not only a very realistic look, but also tremendous personality.
This Royal Doulton English Setter figurine will be the highlight of any porcelain canine collection, and a “must-have” for any English setter enthusiast.
