This precious antique sitting collie pup has the softest, most heartwarming look on her little face that you just can’t help but fall in love!

The designer of this figurine, Oscar Morten, immigrated from Sweden to the U.S. and opened a gift ware studio in Chicago in 1931. Over the next 32 years, he created over 300 popular dog and horse models.

Composed of ceramic over a metal skeleton, these figurines, although beautiful and engaging, were prone to crazing and flaking, thus making it difficult, today, to find examples in perfect condition.

This little beauty is completely intact without any evidence of damage or repairs.

The colors are the Mortens signature palette, creamy yellow and soft brown.

She sits 3 1/4″ tall x 4″ long x 2 1/4″ wide.

Beautiful on her own, this little collie would also be a wonderful addition to either a collie collection, or a Mortens Studio Dog collection.
