Vintage Terrier Dogs Figurine

German Circa 1920’s – 1930’s

This vintage, terrier dog figurine could be the subject of a wonderful story.

It is of two dogs, one adult and one puppy, that look to be related. The puppy is on his hind legs and stretching up to whisper in the adult dog’s ear, and the adult terrier dog has her or his head slightly cocked towards the excited pup, to receive the message.

The detailing on this vintage porcelain figurine is both gorgeous and whimsical.

Measuring a full 5 1/4″ tall x 5″ long x 2″ wide, it is in excellent condition. It is marked “Handgemalt” on its underside, which means “hand-painted” in German. The crown mark is consistent with items US importers brought to the US, from Bavaria, between 1920 through the 1930’s.

The charm of this porcelain figurine is hard to match. If you love collectible dogs that really “speak” to you, you will treasure this wonderful canine pair.
