Jennings Brothers Bronze Whippet/Greyhound

This elegant, recumbent Whippet or Greyhound dog was made by the Jennings Brothers Company of Bridgeport, CT. It is made of spelter metal and given a bronze finish. Like all Jennings Brothers pieces, this exquisite dog is highly collectible.

He is mounted on a deep green marble base. The dog and this base are in excellent condition. One of the screws that holds the dog to the base is missing. This causes the dog to move a bit when pushed, but does not affect the beauty of this piece in any way.

The entire piece measures 4 1/2″ tall (including the base)x 5 ” in diameter.

He is marked on his underside with the number “5” and “JB”.

He would make a wonderful addition to any Whippet/Greyhound or Jennings Brothers collection. He would also make a perfect desktop dog paperweight, a bookend, or a unique and fabulous gift for your favorite sighthound enthusiast.
