Heisey Imperial Caramel Slag Glass Airedale Dog “End O Day”

This Heisey Imperial Caramel Slag Glass Airedale Dog looks good enough to eat! This beauty stands 5 3/4″ tall x 5 1/2″ long x 2 1/4″ wide. While each piece of slag glass is always different, this Airedale dog has a particularly bright composition, with lots of swirls, and a beautifully balanced distribution of colors.

The bottom has been ground, but not completely polished, which adds to the interest of this wonderful work of art. It can be found listed in the “Collector’s Guide to Heisey by Imperial Glass Animals”, on page 23. It was only made from 1969-1973, during which only 200 were made. He is in mint condition.
