Art Deco Inkwell with Scottish Terrier Dogs

This classic, Art Deco inkwell is made from a combination of celluloid (the scotties), glass (the inkwell) and Bakelite (the base and top of the inkwell.) Made c.1930’s, it has the characteristic, Deco, sharp angles and linear design, and it is is excellent condition.

We have kept it “as found” which in this case simply means that we did not remove the touches of remaining, dried ink from the inkwell. It should clean up nicely, with minimum effort, if you should choose to do so. The base, not only holds the removable inkwell, it is also molded to create a pen rest across the front.

The Scotties are quite charming, and make this wonderful desk accessory a unique addition to any Scottish Terrier collection. It measures 5 1/4″ long x 2″ tall x 3″ wide.
