“Gorgeous” is the perfect word to describe this heavyweight, gilt bronze, double inkwell. This highly detailed and ornate piece has two lidded inkwells with the original porcelain inserts. One insert has been cracked and repaired, and the other looks to be in good, undamaged condition.

This amazing piece also has a double pen rack, as well as a pen tray. Of course, the best features are the beautifully detailed Sporting dogs that elegantly flank each side. These beautiful dogs look to be either Setters or Retrievers.

This piece is in excellent condition, and has the foundry marks on the bottom that read: DL N=27 Depose.

It is a substantial piece at 6″ tall x 7″ deep x 11 1/2″ wide. It is an extraordinary piece to add to an antique inkwell collection. On its own it can easily serve as a standout decoration, or certainly as a unique and useful desk accessory.
